We are super excited to present Pieter Franken, FinTech Pioneer and Deep Tech Innovator, with his talk about "The Seven Lucky Gods of FinTech", followed by a discussion on how to put this all in practice through the open innovation platform, APIX, he created as part of the Asian Financial Innovation Network, supported by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the International Finance Corporation (World Bank) and the ASEAN Bankers Assocation.

Pieter Franken’s career spans over 25 years in Financial Services, specializing in O&T, Fintech, innovation and large-scale transformations. He has held C-level and executive positions with industry leaders such as Citigroup, Shinsei Bank, Aplus, Monex Securities and Monex Group. His hallmark is pioneering innovative services by implementing bleeding edge technologies while minimizing time-to-market and dramatically reducing costs. Versed in large scale IT transformation, bi-modal management, operations, software development and innovation in FinTech.

In 2011 Pieter co-founded Safecast.org - a global initiative to collect citizen sourced environmental data. Since 2016 he is a member of Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) International Technology Advisory Panel (ITAP)

Pieter holds a MSc in Computer Science from Delft University and currently is a Guest Professor at Keio University and researcher with MIT Media Lab where he contributes to research in Citizen Science, IoT and Block-chain technologies.
