KnowledgeGraphs are one of the most promising areas in the Artificial Intelligence field. Many AI researchers believe that Deep Learning on its own will never be much more than sophisticated pattern recognition: Great for facial recognition or language translation, but short of true intelligence.
Incorporating domain knowledge into Machine Learning model architectures and algorithms will overcome this. Three classes of Domain Knowledge are being considered: relational, logical, and scientific knowledge. Relational knowledge is best represented through graphs.
