イベントの説明
We welcome you to an exciting discussion about the ecosystem of International Financial Centers with Dr. Jochen Biedermann, who will be visiting Tokyo for two days only this time around.
Jochen is the Managing Director at The World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC), a non-profit association registered in Belgium with leading financial centers on four continents among its members. In an era of breakthrough technologies and rapid social change, financial centers are crucial to sustaining economic growth. Thus, the objective of the WAIFC is to create a transparent network that facilitates cooperation and sharing of best practices to further the understanding of the importance of international financial centers for national and global economies as well as social development.
He is also the Founder & CEO of Blockchain (Asia) Ltd., bringing Blockchain projects, providers, experts, and investors together - between Europe and Asia, the most dynamic market for new groundbreaking technologies. While start-ups explore all kinds of innovative applications of Blockchain technology, banks focus on standardizing permissioned (private) distributed ledges and regulatory authorities try to catch up with those new developments following a rather positive but cautious approach. We want to support all players in better understanding Blockchain technology, its innovative potential, but also its limitations. Our ambition is to help our clients in developing a realistic view of Blockchain and how it can be used to improve the effectiveness of their specific business processes.
Also, Jochen is Senior Advisor to Frankfurt Main Finance, the voice of the financial centre. Among the more than 60 members of the association founded in 2008 is the state of Hesse, the cities of Frankfurt and Eschborn, and numerous prominent financial players with links to the financial center, including banks, stock exchanges, FinTechs, brokers, consulting firms, law firms and providers of transaction services. Frankfurt Main Finance pools the strengths of Germany's leading financial center and markets the location nationally and internationally, creates platforms for dialogue between politics, society, the academy, and the financial world and can be seen as the umbrella brand of the financial center.
Many roles & perspectives to be discussed during the evening!
